Every company profile on SunVetted goes through the same process, built on public records and verified reviews, not marketing claims. Here is exactly how we do it.
SunVetted profiles are researched and written by the SunVetted Research Team. We monitor what Florida homeowners are actually trying to hire for, pull the public record on each company, aggregate verified customer reviews across every major platform, and weigh licensing and complaint history before anything is published. The result is a single, sourced record you can check yourself, so a five-figure decision about your home is based on evidence, not a sales pitch.
Step by step
Before we look at a single company, we set the criteria for the category. For impact windows that means the right Florida DBPR specialty license, a Miami-Dade NOA or Florida Product Approval, impact ratings, and independent review data. For roofing it means a certified roofing license, permit history, insurance, and wind-mitigation performance. Every company is measured against the same bar.
Our team pulls the public record: the Florida DBPR license file, the live Better Business Bureau profile, permit and project history, and the manufacturer approvals behind the products a company installs. We gather the company's own claims and then find the primary source that confirms or contradicts each one.
We confirm the license is active and matches the work the company sells, check the BBB grade and accreditation status directly, and read the complaint record against the company's real project volume. Nothing goes on a profile that we cannot trace back to a source you can open yourself.
We aggregate verified reviews across Google, Best Pick, Angi, Houzz and BuildZoom, report each rating exactly as that platform publishes it, and benchmark the company against others in the same category, so you see it in context, not in isolation.
The company earns a SunVetted profile: an answer-first verdict, a scorecard, a sourced record with a link to verify every figure, a decision aid for who it fits, and a plain disclosure. When a rating cannot be independently confirmed, we say so and lead with verifiable credentials instead.
