Who writes SunVetted profiles, where every number comes from, how we handle ratings we cannot verify, and how we disclose business relationships. This page is the standard every profile is held to.
SunVetted profiles are researched and written by the SunVetted Research Team, an editorial desk that compiles public records and third-party review data on Florida home-improvement companies. Each profile carries a byline and a "reviewed" date, and links back to this page. We are an editorial team, not the companies we cover, and we do not let a company write or approve its own profile copy.
Every figure in a profile is drawn from a named, linkable source. Our standard sources are the Florida DBPR license database for licensing, the Better Business Bureau for accreditation, letter grade and complaint records, and independent review platforms including Google, Best Pick Reports, Angi, Houzz and BuildZoom for ratings. We link each source so you can confirm it yourself.
We report ratings as each platform publishes them, and we say which platform a number comes from. We do not average unrelated platforms into a single invented score, and we do not publish a review rating we cannot trace to a real source. When a company advertises a rating we cannot independently confirm, we say so plainly and lead with its verifiable credentials instead. We do not add our own star ratings, and we do not sell placement in exchange for a higher grade.
Licensing, BBB grades and review counts change over time. We review profiles periodically and date each review. If you spot a figure that is out of date or incorrect, the live source links on each profile are the fastest way to confirm the current number, and we welcome corrections through our contact form.
SunVetted has business relationships with some of the companies featured on this site, including companies we profile and mark as featured. Those relationships do not change the sourced figures on any profile, and they do not buy a better grade. Ratings come from third-party platforms and licensing and BBB data come from public records, all linked for independent verification. We disclose this because a directory that takes placements should say so, on every page.
